I am so glad today is FRIDAY!! I am looking forward to my long weekend!
Can you believe Christmas is in FOUR days!!???? I swore it was just Thanksgiving!
Last Friday we had our first girls Christmas party. It has been nearly a year since we have been meeting up once a month. It is our way of visiting and keeping in touch. We are all so busy if we do not make time to do this we will never see each other plus it is nice to get away and have some girl time.
I meant to take my good camera but walked out of the house with out is so I used my camera once again.
Karen was very nice to host and had everything we needed. We had some yummy tamales and yummy dessert. Jordan brought some yummy cheese dip. And Karen made some us some yummy pomegranate margaritas! They were so good! We ate and sat around and talked.
We all brought a gift and had a gift exchange. It was fun!
My mom got us all wine glasses and they all said something different. Mine fits me well.
We all had a great time and I look forward to our next girls night!
A couple of weeks ago we went to our towns annual Christmas parade. I haven’t been in a couple of years and I was really impressed at how much it has grown. We all met up and watched the parade together. The weather was perfect.
Everyone waiting for the parade to start.
Poor Aydrie didn’t even make it to the start of the parade. She was not having fun and Adam ended up sitting in the truck with her.
Funny story….Jayden was sitting by Lillie and I asked him to move closer so I could take his pic. He just looked at me and said…does she bite??? We all laughed and said no so I was able to take a picture of them. Lillie didn’t have time for a picture.
The all loved the parade. Ace and Lillie waived the entire time.
And then at the end of the parade we got to see SANTA!!
Thursday after our Thanksgiving day was over the boys headed to the deer lease and us girls went to our aunts house for our annual after Thanksgiving shopping weekend. We have gone to her house the last couple of years and always have fun. Ace and Aydrie go with me and Austin goes with Adam.
Chelsea and Lille joined us Friday morning. My mom and I made these cute shirts for them and all three of them wore them on the same day. They were looking cute and all ready for Christmas. It is so hard to get a decent picture of all three of them together.
My cousin and her baby joined us on Friday too. This little one is so cute!
We started out with Starbucks then shopped, saw Santa, ate, and shopped some more. We enjoyed some yummy Mexican food on Friday for lunch.
We have been talking about Santa for weeks now with Ace. Yaya started it and he has not stopped talking about him since. We talked about seeing Santa and he was all excited about it until we were up close and personal! He did not want to have anything to do with Santa. Aydrie went right up and sat by him. We tried to get Ace to sit on the other side of Aydrie but he wasn’t having it. So, I ended up in the picture. Haha. He still doesn’t look to happy. Lillie was the same way and wanted nothing to do with him.
Friday night we ate yummy leftovers from the day before and watched Elf. We love that movie! We of course bought some Christmas jammies and they wore them Friday night.
Saturday we got up and did some more shopping. We stopped and had breakfast at Cracker Barrel and it was so good! We went to a Christmas store and then headed to a new outlet mall. We all got stuff marked off our Christmas lists. We ran by Target before we called it a night and we all scored some new jammies. We all caved in and bought a pair or two. I love the sets they always have out at Christmas. That was one after Thanksgiving sale that I took advantage of.
We always celebrate with my dads family the weekend before Thanksgiving. We all get together and have a good time.
I love that I get to have two or three Thanksgivings because I get to eat more than one Thanksgiving meal. This little boy enjoyed his meal. I think one of his favorite things was Yaya's mashed potatoes.
The weather was perfect this day so we all enjoyed our lunch and visited outside.
Ace brought over his new bubble machine and they had a great time playing with it. The only thing is... Ace needs to learn how to share. He did not want to share with Lillie. They did have a good time together onc he decided to share.
I had my good camera so I decided to do a little photo shoot of course.
We are sisters who live in a small town near Dallas, Texas. We enjoy our small town roots and love being with our families. An 8 year gap in age doesn't discourage us from being as close as we possibly can. We truly believe that a sister is the best friend you could ever have.
