Show and Tell Monday: Mickey Mouse Party

This year for Ace's 2nd birthday we had a Mickey Mouse Party.  Ace is really into Mickey Mouse these days so Mickey Mouse it was.  We decided to have a small birthday this year but we still needed decorations.

I decided to decorate my mantel for his birthday.

The mickey ears were Austins. We got them one year when we went to Disney.  The mickey mouse piggy bank came from my mom I think.  We have had it since Austin was little. My candles I had in my kitchen and they went perfect with the party. I love using items that I already have.

My sister was in charge of the happy birthday banner.

I had this big window above my mantel and bought some wrapping paper and just taped it to the back.  There was nothing to it. I already had his name and thought it fit perfectly there.

I cut a two out of cardboard and glued red tissue paper to it.  I did a one like this last year. I love how it turned out.

I found a pattern on line and cut out these mickey heads and made a little banner.  I cut out to many and decided to decorate this piece of furniture.

I decorated a table for the cookies and cake.  I took another window I had and added strips of black and red crepe streamers and taped them to the back.  I added some wrapping  to the table and loved how it turned out.

I had these cookies made and they turned out so cute. The birthday boy loved them!

We also had cupcakes and ice cream.

We had the party on a Friday night so instead of cooking hot dogs which was our original plan we decided to go with pizza and salad. It was fast and easy and the birthday boy loves pizzi.

I was not going to do any print outs but I got them for a really good deal so decided to print and use.  They all turned out really cute and looked so good.

I had some paper straws left over from last years party so I decided to get these cute cups to use with them.

Ace loved the ballons my mom brought over for the party. I decided last minute to get them and I am glad I did. They birthday boy loved his ballons.  They big one is still tied to his chair and every day he points at it and says my birthday.

The birthday boy had a blast! It was a great party!!
