Happy Birthday Ace Brady!!

This little boy is TWO years old today!

And very excited about his birthday party tonight!

I can't believe we are celebrating his 2nd birthday!! Time just flies by too fast these days!

Ace would like to thank his Nene and Yaya for helping his Mommy get everything ready for his party!

Don't know what we would do without them!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

I can't believe Ace Brady turns two tomorrow.  It is crazy how time just flies by. I feel like it was just yesterday we were bringing this little bitty baby home from the hospital.

We are having a small party tomorrow night and I have been busy working on decorations.  Ace loves Mickey Mouse so we are having a Mickey Mouse birthday party.  We have been talking about his party for over a month now.  I can't believe it's already here.

Heather and I picked up this cute shirt when we were at Grapefest.  I can't believe Halloween is right around the corner.

I got some new furniture and my brother came by the other day to help put it together.  I am so glad he likes to do that kind of stuff. Thanks brother!

There is a new yogurt place in town and we finally went by there Sunday and tried it out.  It was good and I am hoping to go back some time this weekend. Ha!

And this is for you Jordan!  Haha!!  I wish we would have gotten a picture of that big as your face burrito.

We always have a good time when we all get together!

Weekend Fun

Friday night Jared and Yaya stopped by for a minute and they left with this little boy. He was so excited he was going to Yaya’s. He packed all kinds of toys and books and of course he had to bring his pillow. He had fun and made it through the night. We are now giving Yaya a hard time because Ace slept on the floor at her house so obviously that is when he got bit by something. Ha…just kidding Yaya.
Saturday Austin had a tennis tournament. So, we spent our morning watching him. He ended up getting second place!  I am so ready for fall to get was hot Saturday!

Saturday night we had a girls night. We originally had it planned for Friday night but changed it to Saturday. Earlier in the week Heather found the perfect bridesmaid dress so Saturday we all went and ordered ours. After that we went and had dinner at Chuys. I have never been to Chuys…it was really good. We had a good time!

Hope your weekend was good!

Today this little boy was sick and I stayed home with him again.

He started feeling bad Saturday afternoon.  At first I just thought he was being fussy and needed a nap.  Well he ended up falling asleep around 1:00 and woke up a couple of hours later with fever and complaining his leg was hurting and then ended up falling asleep again.

We finally saw that something had bit his leg and it was swollen and looked infected. Sorry for the gross pictures.

Ace was feeling bad and running fever Saturday afternoon and through out the night.  He ended up getting sick twice Saturday night.  He had not eaten anything since Saturday morning so we were really starting to worry about him and his leg was looking worse.  He would not stand or walk on it and would cry if you even got near it and he was sleeping a lot.

Sunday morning we decided to take him in to a CareNow.  That was our first CareNow experience and it went well.  We left there with two prescriptions.  The doctor said that it looked like some kind of bite and it had gotten infected.   He slept most of the day Sunday and was still running fever so I knew I could not send him to the sitters.

Today we took it easy and the meds seem to be working.  His fever is gone and he is getting around a lot better. Poor baby boy was limping every where by this afternoon.  I am just glad the meds are working.  He is still saying his leg hurts but he is a least talking and laughing and getting around.

We are hoping this little boy feels 100 times better by Friday because it's his birthday!!

The Gaylord and Grapefest

This past weekend we had a little get away. We packed our bags and went to the Gaylord. Adam and Jared had a conference so Heather and I tagged along.

We all met at the hotel Friday night. Adam and Jared had a meeting so Heather and I were on our own.  We enjoyed dinner at the Texas Station and watched the Rangers on the big screen.  It was nice to actually be able to eat and talk and not worry about the little ones.

We met up with the guys after their meeting.

Saturday us girls got up and went to Grapefest.  We caught a bus and were gone for the day.  This was our first time going and it was a lot of fun.  It is in downtown Grapevine.  They block off the main street in downtown and have tons of vendors.  There are also all kinds of boutiques up and down main street.  We enjoyed walking up and down going in all of the cute little shops.

We got there at 11:00 and there was hardly anyone there but by the time we left around 4:00 it was so crowded.  We stopped and had lunch at Napolis (a pizza place) and had some yummy pizza and a glass of wine.

They had all kind of wine tastings, junk food, shopping and grape stomping.  We only enjoyed the shopping and wine part.  It was a fun day!

I am hoping we make it back next year!

Monday Funday

Yesterday our sitter had the day off so I got to say home with Ace Brady.  We got up bright and early and got Austin and Aydrie to school.  We had breakfast in bed and then to my surprise we fell back to sleep.

We got to sleep in a and when we got up someone had breakfast again. Adam  picked up some french toast sticks earlier that morning and he decided he wanted them.  When he was done he had syrup all over him.  He had a bath righ after this.  He was covered from head to toe.

I spend my day off getting caught up on never ending laundry!  And cleaned a little. This little boy his very helpful these days and when he wants to help he says "help me".

Once we ate lunch and I got done cleaning I told him I wanted to rest and he ended up falling asleep. All night last night he kept saying "me rest".  He is talking so much these days.

Austin had his first tennis match yesterday. He played doubles and singles. He is doing so good. I am glad I was off and got to go and watch him.  His matches usually start between 4:00 and 4:30 so I am hoping I can take off work early on the days he plays.

It was a great Monday!

What I Wore Wednesday

So, It's been forever since I posted pictures for WIWW. It's been forever since I've posted at all!School started about a month ago and I'm still trying to adjust! My birthday was a few weeks ago and Jared bought me a new camera. I just couldn't resist using it for WIWW.
I've been loving Old Navy lately! Their clothes are so cute and what makes them even better is that they are actually affordable! This teacher loves that!
These outfits are both shirt and pants from Old Navy.
Get the shirt HERE!
This is my favorite necklace right now. It's from a jewelry shop called BRIDIER BAUBLES. My sis got it for me a few weeks ago. I could wear it almost every day!

I love my skinny pants from Old Navy. These are the only skinny jeans I can find that I actually like. Hard to tell in the picture, but these are my purple skinnies! I've got almost every color of the rainbow!
Get the blouse HERE!
