Being Aunt Yaya

This week, Court's babysitter is out of town on vacation. I'm taking over babysitting duties and being Aunt Yaya all week.

Ace started calling me "Yaya". We aren't sure where it came from, but it has stuck and I think I'll be Yaya from now on.

This morning Lillie came to stay with us too. Her KK is out of town so she skipped school to come play with Ace. They have been having lots of fun and wore themselves out! Napping while I blog!

Miss Aydrie could not be any easier. As long as she has her room she is perfectly fine! We put her gate at her door, not to keep her in, but to keep the babies out. Aydrie likes her space and doesn't like when the babies are in there bugging her. She is just as happy as can be in her room!

Austin is here with us too. He will be in Jr. High this school year and has been enjoying his summer alone and has been taking care of the house for his Mom and Dad. He's got tennis camp this week so he will be in and out. I think we may ruin his week by being here!

This is our mess already this morning. Don't worry we'll clean it up before Mommy gets home! It should be a fun week!

It's Friday!

Yay...It's Friday!!

So,  I still have a couple of post to do from our camping trip.  If you missed the first couple you can read about our first few days here, here, and here.

I finally figured out the instagram thing.  I created a second account because my other account has about 1000 pics on it.  I didn't know you could turn your phone on airplane mode and not post every single picture that you edit in instagram. When in airplane mode it just saves the edited picture to your album and then you can just delete the photo from you picture roll in instagram.  Yeah, I am sure I am the last person to figure this out. Ha!

My username is courtc_28 and you can find Heather under hnhaskovec.

So, I finally broke down and order a bubble necklace from ebay. Actually I ordered two. I couldn't decide on the colors so I just got two. I got them in yesterday and they are so pretty!

If your kids have to wear uniforms to school Old Navy is having a good sale right now. I just ordered Aydrie her shirts for this school year.  I also got her shirts from there last year. They fit her really good.  I can't believe I am already thinking about school uniforms! Oh, well I am getting a head start.

Well, that is all I have this week.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Lake Day 2

Tuesday...same thing...different day.

We did some fishing.

Had fun feeding the ducks.

Hung out.

In the evening after dinner we would all go ride around the park and look for deer.  We saw lots of deer.  Ace learned a new word and would call for the deer the whole time we were riding around.

At the very end of the park there were these big rocks you could walk on and see everything.  It was really pretty.

It was a fun day!

Lake Day

We got up bright and early on Monday...enjoyed a breakfast and then hit the lake.   We actually got in the water on Monday and it was nice...I hate that we skipped out on Sunday.

We floated off and on all day long.  It was nice!

Ace wasn't to sure about the water.

Aydrie Rose loved the water and had the best set up!  We couldn't keep her in that chair.

We ended up getting the little pool out for them so they could play.  They both seemed to like this better.  Ace kept putting the little pool rings on his head and would wear it while he was in the pool.  He also made sure his sister had one to...I really don't think she appreciated it.

We ended the day with a good dinner and played a few games.

We all had a great time!

Inks Lake

So, this year we spent our summer vacation at the lake.  We went to Inks Lake State Park for the week and it was so much fun!

My parents were worried that we would all get bored but we did not.  I told my dad it was just like when we go to the beach minus the pretty white sand, clear blue water, and the pretty condo...ha!  It was a little different but very much the same.  We were with family and that was all that mattered.

We did have a nice set up.  We had a camper with cold air and TV. My kids probably could have stayed at the lake all summer.  Austin was still able to watch his shows and Aydrie and Ace got to watch their Dora when they wanted to.

Inks Lake is about three hours from our house so the drive wasn't bad at all.  My parents went down Friday night with Austin and we went up there Saturday afternoon.  My dad got the best spot on the lake.

Ace loved the lake the minute he got there.

This was our set up for the week.

Jared and Heather came down Sunday and they were across the street from us.  We had plenty of room for everybody. Our aunt, brother, SIL, and Lillie also joined us later in the week.

Our first full day there was Sunday.  Austin saw they had kayak rentals and wanted to rent one the first chance he got.  So, Sunday morning we took him and got a kayak for the day.  I was a nervous wreck because he had to take the kayak back to our camp site by water.  We were not able to put it in the truck.  He made it to the campsite just fine...I was worried for nothing.

Ace enjoyed watching and helping Austin with his kayak.

Sunday we kind of just hung out and relaxed most of the day. We didn’t get in the water the first day.

I did end up taking a ride on the kayak and when Jared and Heather got there she tried it out too.

All week we fed these little ducks that would just come right up to our camp site.  The kids loved this.  Ace wanted to feed them everything…which we did not.

We enjoyed some good food all week long.  I meant to get a picture of all the stuff we had but failed.  This is the only picture I got.  My mom brought her crock pot and we enjoyed chicken tacos and cheese dip the first night.   For dinner we also had hamburger and hot dogs of course, loaded baked potatoes,  sausage on a stick, fajitas, and stuffed peppers.  We ate good every night.

For breakfast during the week we had taquitos, pancakes, muffins, and eggs and all the fixings.  I made tuna fish and chicken salad for our lunches so are lunches all weekend we ate tuna fish, chicken salad, and just regular sandwiches…which seem so much better when you are out by the water.    I also made some corn dip and this yummy fruit for the week.

Austin was our smore maker and made smores after dinner nearly every night. He can make one good smore!

I will be back with more lake fun tomorrow.
