Friday Randoms

Happy Friday!!!

We really didn't mean to turn our one "Friday Randoms" post into a weekly thing...but it looks like we did.  Ha! Oh, well....its a nice way to keep up with stuff that we can't always blog about.

Last Saturday, Courtney's SIL (April) brought over these Easter baskets filled with all kinds of goodies.  Austin, Aydrie, and Ace would like to say... THANKS Aunt April!

I made these cute cupcakes for our Easter last Sunday.
Aren't they cute?? Thanks to my friend, Kelsey, for the rainbow idea. She'll be posting a tutorial over at her blog soon.

Jared's birthday was on Sunday and I got him this nice little birthday present. We had a hard time getting it home. The first one flew out of the back of the truck and was completely destroyed. Luckily, the nice people at Lowes, swapped it out for a new one!
My school is participating in Ennis' Relay for Life this year. Me, and about 40 teachers from my school, will be walking tonight to raise money for Cancer research. We had these cute shirts made to represent our team. We are also the top team in money raised to support the cause!

People have asked about my jewelry hangers and how they look with my jewelry on them.... so I thought I would let you all see.

This one holds all of my earings.

And this one is home to all of my necklace accessories.

Chelsea went to the Dr. on Wednesday and Miss Lillie is measuring right on time. We will have to wait a few more weeks to meet our new niece.

Tomorrow night we are all going to a yearly event called, The Harley Davidson Giveaway. Our Dad is a member of a local club called The Knights of Columbus, and almost ever year we attend this event. Last year our SIL and cousin, Chelsea and Jordan, were the lucky winners of the Harley. Maybe one of us will be next!

We hope you all have a great weekend! We are so looking forward to ours!

TGIF!

Easter Weekend

We had a very nice Easter weekend.  The weather was perfect all weekend and I was supposed to stay home and do a lot of spring cleaning and get my flowers planted Saturday...but that didn't happen. Ha.

We had a very relaxing Friday night.  Austin decided he wanted to stay the night with Adam's parents so we took him over there and then ran and got us something to eat and then came home and called it a night.

I spent my Friday night with these two and loved every minute of it!

Saturday, I was supposed to stay at home...but that didn't happen...instead me and my SIL (April) decided to do a little shopping.  I was on the hunt for another Romper....but failed. We went to several different stores and either they didn't have any or I didn't like the way they fit.

While we were out we went and ate at one of my favorite restaurants- El Fenix.

Saturday night we had a birthday party to go to...so my mom kept the kids while Adam and I went out.  We all had a great time.

Sunday we had a very bus day.  We had two Easter's to attend and had a fun day with family.

I tried to get a pic with all three of them together but Ace wasn't having it so this is what we ended up with before we left. Plus we were running late like always these days!

Our first stop was at my families.  The weather was nice and we got to enjoy the outdoors before lunch.

Ace got to see his cousin Emery.  She is two months older than Ace.

But he really didn't know what to think about her.  At one point Emery was having fun laughing and talking and Ace started to cry.  They were very entertaining.

Our next stop was Adam families were Miss Aydrie got to hunt eggs but didn't relly like it.  She was upset with all the people and noise and started crying so she didn't last to long.

We had a great Easter weekend!

Ace is crawling!

This little boy decided he would start crawling last week and hasn't slowed down since.

I decided to get a few pics of him in action the other night when he had on his cute bunny jammies.  Isn't that a cute bunny??

He is all over the place these days!  I am sooo missing my little baby that would just lay in his bobby pillow right beside me day and night.

The next thing we have to look forward to....pulling up on things....which he has already started to do sometimes!

Who told you...you could grow up so fast??

Show and Tell Monday- DIY Jewelry Holders

I swear I can never find a good way to store my jewelry. No matter what I do, or how organized I TRY to keep it, it's a huge mess!

I decided to make my own jewelry holder. I have seen a lot of these lately in "Blog Land" and it was pretty simple to create.

I headed to one of my favorite local resale shops where I bought a few wood frames. At about $1 a piece, I had to purchase... oh about..... 7. HA! I'll figure out something to do with them.

I sprayed them with a coat of primer, and then a coat of Krylon spray paint.

I decided to use my new favorite Ralph Lauren Faux Glaze tinted with Black Truffles paint. I LOVE the way that glaze makes everything look old and makes every detail stand out!

I just used a staple gun to attach the chicken wire to the back. Jared helped me with this step.

And here they are.... all finished. I can't wait to get my jewerly hung on them!

I'm still not sure what to do about all of my bracelets? Any suggestions?
