Show and Tell Monday- End of the Year Teacher Gift

It's the last week of school here in our little town, which means lots of big things are happening!

Miss Aydrie Rose is graduating Kindergarten on Tuesday night and will be moving on to the 1st grade! Little Miss has been at the Early Childhood Center since the day she turned 3 years old. She is now 7, and is finishing up her 5th school year there. We are very sad to see her go, but she has accomplished so much during her days at Crockett. We wanted to make something to let everyone know how thankful we are for everything that they have done for her.

We gave you a sneak peak in our FRIDAY post and this is what we came up with.

Court bought these little flower pots for $1 at The Dollar Tree. There are so many people that work with Aydrie on a daily basis, that we couldn't imagine leaving any of them out. We ended up making 10 pots total!

All they needed was a few coats of spray paint.

We used a paint pen for a little personalization.

The easy part was planting a pretty flower in each one.

We used Picnik to edit a picture of Aydrie and then uploaded it to WalMart and our prints were ready in just 1 hour. We taped the picture to a craft stick, then stuck one in each pot.

Glue a pretty ribbon around and you have an awesome end of the year gift for your favorite teacher!

Aydrie can't wait to pass these out tomorrow.

Friday Randoms

Happy Friday! We are so excited about our three day weekend!

Me and Aydrie got shoe happy this past weekend!! I bought my first pair of YELLOWBOX flip flops!! I was like a little kid and put them on right when we got in the car.  Heather and my SIL have a pair, so I finally broke down and got me a pair.  I, of course, had to get the zebra ones! They are so comfortable. I love them!

I was also so happy when I found these again in Aydrie’s size. I have bought her the same pair for 3 summers now. They match so well with a lot of her clothes.

Ace hates being left by himself and will just cry and cry if he is not right by you. So....this week he has been here while me and Adam are in the kitchen. We are close by so he is safe sitting up there. He will just sit there and talk to us and is as happy as can be.

It is very hard to let him cry...just look at that sweet face.

This week, Austin had etiquette day at school and he had to get all dressed up. They had a sit down dinner, with all the courses and everything, and they got a grade for it...Austin thinks he got a good one. He looked so good!

We told you about the outfit we made for Lillie Monday and said we would show you the finished project.  Well, here it is.  Our mom hand stitched around the looks so good! Can't wait to see her cute Ruffle Butt tomorrow!

While I was visiting Lillie this week, I was snapping some pictures of her and caught this sweet little smile. She is just a doll!

Heather and I wanted to give you a sneak peak of another project we are working on.  We will tell you more about it soon.

Heather had this cute dress made by a co-worker. She can't wait to wear it!  It is too cute!

It's Polka Weekend, so we will be busy busy all weekend long!

Hope you have a great weekend!

It's Polka Time!

On Monday, we showed you this cute outfit we made for Miss Lillie to wear this weekend.

This weekend the streets in our little town will be full of people, arts and crafts, and great food. Every year in May our town puts up these red, white, and blue welcome signs and it gets us all excited!

We live in a small Czech town and every year on Memorial Day Weekend, the people in our town celebrate the Czech heritage.

We come from a large Czech family and we both love Polka Fest.  I mainly love it because of the great food! Ha... Plus it’s considered the official start of summer around here.

Our three day weekend will be filled with lots of family time and great food! It all kicks off on Saturday morning with a small-town parade. I can’t believe POLKA FEST is already here….this year is just flying by.

Can't wait to show you all of our pictures from this great weekend!

Do any of you have festivals or celebrations in your town???  We'd love to hear about them.

Busy Weekend

We had a busy but fun weekend around here.

Friday, we went to see Austin in Oklahoma.  They performed both Friday and Saturday night so me, Heather,  my SIL, Mom and Dad went to go see him Friday night while Adam stayed home with Aydrie and Ace.  The weather was horrible…it was raining all night, so we decided I would go Friday night and Adam and his family would go Saturday night.  That way there was someone there both nights.

We were all so surprised at how well Austin and all of the others did in this play. They have been working on this for months now and it finally paid off….they all did so good.

Luckily, Heather was nice and took pictures for me.  I got to use my big lens and got some good pictures of Austin. I am pretty sure everyone around us knew we were there for Jud because every time he came on stage Heather would start snapping away. I think I had a smile on my face the entire show.  I was so pound of him!

Saturday, Austin had an eye appointment in the morning.  So, my mom came over to sit with Aydrie and Ace that way I didn’t have to take them with me to his appointment.

Poor Austin he has his Daddy’s eyes...we left the appointment with him needing glasses. They will be ready in about a week.  It took us a while to pick out a pair but the pair he ended up picking out looked good on him.

We had a lot of craft projects to work on Saturday…so we all got together at my house that afternoon and did some crafting.  I love the projects we are working on and I can’t wait to share them. I am so thankful for my Mom and Heather! Without their help I would be so lost.   My SIL and Lillie came over and hung out with us for the day. We made another cute outfit for Lillie and I love how it turned out!

We finally put Ace's mattress in his crib and we got to put him in his crib for the first time on Saturday. It only took us seven months!  I am not sure he is a real big fan of it but hopefully he will start playing in there and getting used to it.

Later on that night my brother and SIL had a couples shower to go to and they decided to go for a couple of hours and Lillie got to stay with us.  We didn’t hear peep out of her all night. She is such a good baby.

I think the new parents had fun but I know they missed their baby girl but Lillie was in good hands and had fun with her NeeNee, Aunt Coco and Honey.   Yep, me and Heather have named ourselves for Lillie…ha!  We will see if she catches on…lol.  We didn’t get finished working on our crafts until around 9:00. It was a long but fun day.

Sunday, we decided to get out of the house since we were at home all day Saturday.

We went to Adam’s parents for our weekly Sunday dinner.  It was much warmer outside this weekend so we were able to spend some time outside and Austin and Jayden even got to swim.

We hope you all had a great weekend!
