Show and Tell Monday- DIY Jewelry Holders

I swear I can never find a good way to store my jewelry. No matter what I do, or how organized I TRY to keep it, it's a huge mess!

I decided to make my own jewelry holder. I have seen a lot of these lately in "Blog Land" and it was pretty simple to create.

I headed to one of my favorite local resale shops where I bought a few wood frames. At about $1 a piece, I had to purchase... oh about..... 7. HA! I'll figure out something to do with them.

I sprayed them with a coat of primer, and then a coat of Krylon spray paint.

I decided to use my new favorite Ralph Lauren Faux Glaze tinted with Black Truffles paint. I LOVE the way that glaze makes everything look old and makes every detail stand out!

I just used a staple gun to attach the chicken wire to the back. Jared helped me with this step.

And here they are.... all finished. I can't wait to get my jewerly hung on them!

I'm still not sure what to do about all of my bracelets? Any suggestions?

I love this! I have LOTS of chicken wire and frames sitting around. I better just attach the two already. Thanks for the great idea!

You could add some hooks to the bottom for your bracelets or maybe hang them with cute little clothespins to the wire.

as far as bracelets go, i've seen a few versions that have old dresser knbos screwed into the bottom or top to hold looped things like bracelets and necklaces

I so love this color! Its just the color I want to use for my bookcase. I can't wait to get a few frames and make me a couple. I can never find any of my jewelry either. Mine is all thrown in a drawer. I love the idea of putting drawer pulls for bracelets.

This is cute! Why couldn't you just put your bracelet through the chicken wire and "attach it" like you would on your wrist to hold it. If you have ones that you pull on you could get a close pin and hook it to the wire and place the bracelet over it. I'm Kassandra btw from Coffee and their Kisses. I found you from Ucreate and am your newest follower! [Fellow Texan} Have a good day!

I have a few of these around my house, only I used the smaller square grid chicken wire. I use little s-hooks to hang my necklaces, bracelets, and rings. We have one in my daughter's room where I clip all of her little headband clips. I am still trying to come up with a way to include my stud earrings. A magnet maybe? Regardless, this is the BEST way to hold your jewelry. I love it!

My dad made me a holder for my bracelets using a piece of molding and small coffee cup hooks! Works great!!

Great idea! I do something similar for pierced earrings, just use plastic canvas instead of the chicken wire. Works like a charm!
