Here is one last picture of me that Austin took last night. I can't believe in a few short hours we will meet Ace. I have to be at the hospital this morning between 5:30 and 6:00 and my surgery is scheduled for 7:30!
Thanks to my mom and sister we are officially ready for our baby boy to join us. I don't know what I would do with out those two. They are always willing to help out with what ever I need. I would be so lost with out them.
We spent the day today putting together all kinds of baby gear and washing some of his clothes. I can not believe I have all this baby stuff in my house again. It has been so long. Miss Aydrie has been very curious as to what is going on and is probably wondering what all this stuff is for. I can't wait to see what she thinks about her new little brother. Austin is very excited and can't wait till Tuesday.
It took a little rearranging but we got all the baby gear set up and ready.
Today's post is dedicated to my amazing niece and nephew. I love them to pieces and cannot imagine life without them. Austin Cade helped me realize my love for children and my desire to teach little sweeties. Our sweet Aydrie Rose has changed our lives in the best way possible. She has taught us all true love, and happiness. I’ve never met anyone who is as happy as this sweet little girl! I love these 2 kiddos with all my heart. I can't imagine having my own children and having more love for them than I do for these 2. It's as if they are my own.
That being said...... in 5 days my newest nephew will come into this world! Baby Ace, we are all so anxious for you to get here. We promise to love you FOREVER and give you all the things you will ever need. I can't wait to squeeze you and hold you in my arms, to get off of work every day and come see you, spending all my free time just watching you and every new thing that you do.
To my sister, thank you for giving me these precious babies. I hope to someday return the favor, and I know you will do the same!
At the beginning of this year, I decided to redo Aydrie's room. Of course, I went to Heather and asked her to help me. This is the only picture I can find of the "before" with Aydrie's pretty tree that no longer matches....... Just a scary reminder that Christmas is RIGHT around the corner!
If you look in the reflection of the mirror, you can see the flower picture. There were 2 of these on her wall.
After a lot of thought, I decided that I wanted to paint her room turquoise and do accent colors of black, white, and hot pink. I wanted her room to have a "big girl" look. So, I had the idea of using the same pictures in her room and just redo them. I told Heather my idea so she got creative and we, or I should say she, came up with this.
We ventured out to Hobby Lobby one weekend and bought black paint and all different kinds of scrap book paper. We also bought some little rhinestones. We painted the canvas's black and then Heather placed and glued the scrap book paper on the canvas's and then added the rhinestones. I wish I had some better pictures.
So fast forward a couple of months to when I find out I am having another BOY!! Of course the first thing Austin said was, "I do not want to share my room." Which I do not blame him, being that him and the baby are going to be 10 years apart! We have future plans to add on a room for baby Ace, but that will not be until some time next year. So, in the mean time this is what we are doing....Miss Aydrie is getting a new roommate!
But how can a boy stay in a room with hot pink? Well, we got creative and pulled out all the hot pink and added red. Remember those girly canvases that we redid earlier this year??? Well, here they are now. Thanks to Heather!!
That is all I will share for now. I will post pictures of the finished room soon.
While blogging about SISTERS, we think it's only right to mention our new SIL. Yes, SIL..... Sister-In-Law. We were blessed with a great sister-in-law, and a brother who was smart enough to snatch her up! Chelsea and Derek were married in July in Cancun, Mexico. Yes, they had a destination wedding! It was an amazing wedding and a wonderful vacation! Here are a few of our favorites from the wedding......
Our new family..... Austin, Courtney, Dad, Chelsea, Derek, Heather, Mom, and Aaron
Missing- Courtney's husband and daughter Adam & Aydrie Rose, and Jared
The WHOLE group who traveled to Mexico for Derek and Chelsea's special day.... They are very loved!
On Saturday, my 9 month pregnant sister and I ventured out to get her stroller/carseat so that baby Ace can come home when he is born! This is a very important piece to have when you are expecting a baby. What better than to wait until 11 days before he is here to get it, right? She got a good deal and only ended up paying a little bit out of her pocket. Thanks to gift cards and such from loved ones! This is what she decided on.
Anyway, we turned our 2 hour trip into about a 5 hour one. Could not resist hitting up Dollar Tree, Garden Ridge, Michaels, or Target. We got some cute crafts out of it though! So.... after lots of shopping and a few hours creating this is what we made! Enjoy! :)
Easy fall decor idea.... replace your candles with pumpkins :)
Hello.... we are so excited to be revealing our new blog! This blog will be about peace, love, and 2 sisters!
We always look at cute blogs and think.... "How fun would it be to blog!" So here it is! This blog is going to be about the many adventures my sister and I take together. We love attempting new crafts and ideas, and trust me we ARE NOT experts in the craft department. We are usually out shopping for our next project (or just for ourselves).... so it will be here that we talk about things we have seen, new things going on in our life's, or just anything that comes to mind.
Big sister- Courtney. She has a wonderful family including 2 children and one on the way. We expect Baby Ace to be here on Tuesday the 28th, so we can all look forward to that post! She was married to her amazing husband in June of 2001.
Big brother Austin and big sister Aydrie are extremely excited about baby Ace coming into the world! :)
Courtney and Heather are 8 years apart! Now that we are both in our 20's you would think we were the same age! We get a long great, and love to spend time with each other. There's no better friend than a sister! We look A LOT alike, and even get asked if we are twins on many outings. It's hard for us to see the resemblance, but maybe you will.
Court on the right, Heather on the left!
Heather is a a full time college student who also has a full time job and a life! All these things together equal no time left over! HOWEVER, there is light at the end of the tunnel. She will be graduating in December with her Bachelors degree and a certification to teach Kindergarten through 6th grade! We are both so excited about what is to come in her future!
We are sisters who live in a small town near Dallas, Texas. We enjoy our small town roots and love being with our families. An 8 year gap in age doesn't discourage us from being as close as we possibly can. We truly believe that a sister is the best friend you could ever have.
